CHDFNigeria is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Administrative, Communications & Human Resource Officer to join our team. This multifaceted role supports the foundation’s internal operations, external communications, and human resource management, contributing to our mission of improving the lives of children with congenital heart disease across Nigeria.

Location: Lagos (Hybrid)

Net range: ₦120-150,000/month

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Communications, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in HR, communications, and/or administrative roles (NGO experience is an advantage)
  • Strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HR tools, and social media platforms
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
  • Passion for nonprofit work and child health advocacy

Administrative:

  • Manage staff and volunteer records, employment contracts, document filings while ensuring adequate data protection.
  • Maintain office systems and ensure smooth administrative workflow.
  • Support internal communications and scheduling.
  • Ensure staff and team compliance with organizational policies and local regulations and timelines.
  • Act as a point of contact for CHDFNigeria to external parties, such as heart families, warriors, vendors, government officials, and partners
  • Assist the finance department by processing invoice, tracking expenses, and managing procurement for office materials and program assets.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient filing system for both electronic and physical documents, and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Organise logistics for staff and volunteers during outreaches
  • Maintain and ensure standard of practice documentation for all departments
  • Take proactice measures to ensure decorum, code of conduct compliance across all our spaces and team virtual platform like WhatsApp.
  • Ensure tracking or subscriptions and membership and necessary renewals are coordinated/communicated.
  • Any other assigned tasks within your area of expertise.

Human Resources:

  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training processes of staff, members and volunteers.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and staff, and promote a positive workplace culture
  • Organize team-building and wellness initiatives
  • Update internal databases with new hire information ensuring adequate credentialing and documentation.
  • Advocate for staff welfare and ensure team celebration at all times.
  • Serve as first point of contact for all conflict matters and escalate appropriately.
  • Take proactive measures to ensure adequate staffing and workforce at all times, coordinating annual and entitled leaves and ensuring position backup as needed.
  • Document and ensure staff appraisals are completed in timely manner.

Communications:

  • Draft and manage internal and external communications
  • Assist in content creation for newsletters, reports, and campaigns.
  • Work with volunteer comms and publicity officers in ensuring external communications are valid, and communicated appropriate.
  • Help in collecting, processing or analysing data from various forms.
  • Ensure prompt response to emails and forward all correspondence email to concerned team for actioning.
