CHDFNigeria is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and oversight of the foundation’s programs. As the bird eye of the organization, you will play key supervisory responsibilities across all operating departments of the organization including administration, communications, publicity, fundraising, programs and CHD community. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership, problem solving and coordination skills, passionate about improving child health outcomes in Nigeria.
As Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall design, execution, and evaluation of CHDFNigeria’s programs and initiatives. You will ensure that all projects align with the Foundation’s mission and deliver measurable impact. You will work very closely with the executives and board members, and represent the organization at key meetings nationally and internationally. In the absence of the Executive Director, you will take leadership under the direction of the board.
Mandatory
Bachelor’s degree in health or health related course, non-profit studies, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Non-profit certification courses
Project management certification.
Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in program management and strategic leadership, preferably in the non-profit health sector.
Proven track record in fundraising, strategic planning, and team management.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Essential requirements:
Proven track record in fundraising, strategic planning, and team management or desire to undertake.
Grant writing experience or willingness to undertake course.
Passion for health equity and social impact.
Minimum commitment is 1 year in the position
As Managing Director/Program manager, you will provide strategic leadership and oversee the foundation’s operations, partnerships, and sustainability efforts. You will serve as the public face of CHDFNigeria and work closely with the executives, star members and Board of Trustees.
You will;
Plan and implement health-focused programs and community outreach initiatives across states in Nigeria.
Lead the project officers /managers (volunteers ) in planning and implementing projects targeted at our various audience and heart community.
Ensure delivery of high-level proposals for various initiatives by coordinating projects, fundraising and finance teams.
Ensure adequate planning and coordination of strategic meetings, teams meeting and quarterly meetings
Set KPIs across various departments to meet annual organization goals and targets, while preparing periodic reports to the leadership teams for evaluation and monitoring.
Ensure timely and structured staff performance evaluation, while presenting team development opportunities to the management team.
Coordinate with partners, volunteers, staff, executives and stakeholders.
Manage program strategic plan and budgets within agreed timelines.
Ensure high level grant writing and project proposals.
Supervise program staff and ensure quality delivery of our programs/projects and all initiatives.
Oversee grant application and CFP applications.
Lead, develop and champion creative initiatives across CHDFNIGERIA programs.
Develop strategies to ensure fund raised yearly meets or exceed budget
Other assigned tasks within your jurisdiction
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic direction and growth of the Foundation.
Oversee all departments including programs, communications, finance, administration, education and research.
Represent CHDFNigeria in public engagements and media.
Drive advocacy, fundraising, donor relations, and partnership development.
Ensure CHDFNigeria complies with legal, financial, fundraising, non-profit and ethical standards.
Report to and collaborate with the Board of Trustees.
