CHD Awareness Week 2025

At CHDFNigeria, Congenital heart disease awareness week means a lot to us, as this helps us echo our awareness and advocacy work. During this period, and throughout, the heart month, we join other CHD advocates globally to raise awareness on the most common birth defect in the world. It is a leading cause of
infant and child death in the world, as it occurs in nearly 1 in 100 children. The mortality rate of CHD is higher in low and middle income countries where healthcare is poor.
