World Heart Day 2020

Between September 18th and 20th 2020, the foundation organized a free cardiac examination in Ibadan and Ogun state that focused on children, although adults were not left out. About 300 children were assessed for signs of CHD. While none had CHD, about 15% suffered from malnutrition. Adults who appeared were also educated about CHDs and features to look out for in children.

On September 29th 2020, while celebrating World Heart Day, the CHDFNigeria team held a walk for
CHD awareness in Lagos where informative tract were distributed and people educated on congenital heart disorders. We were able to assess vitals/blood pressure of adults and give necessary advice towards a healthy heart.
