CHDFNigeria is a non-profit organization that supports children and persons with Congenital Heart Disease popularly called Hole in the Heart in Nigeria. The foundation is envisioned to be the leading charity organization in Nigeria supporting the CHD cause.

Our mission “to create a paradigm shift in the current status of congenital heart disease in Nigeria through awareness campaign and advocacy; support; education and research promotion” states the 4 main areas we are focusing on to achieve our vision.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time role for a Charity Program Manager at CHDFNigeria located in Ogun State, with flexibility for remote work.  As a program manager your role is to drive CHDFNigeria’s strategic goals by managing, and organizing various projects that contribute towards our vision. You will manage operations including resources and people to ensure the foundation runs smoothly and supports the CHD community in Nigeria. With your bird’s eye view of all aspect of the foundation, you will nurture strategic partnership and collaboration nationally and internationally towards organizational success. This includes the planning, execution, and monitoring of key projects, outreaches, fundraiser, and campaigns at CHDFNigeria. Working collaboratively with strategic partners, project beneficiaries, and key stakeholders is very crucial. In doing so, you will manage conflicting priorities, problem solve effectively and ensure key performance targets are achieved.

The role will require working with other team members in developing and implementing fundraising and outreach strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, identifying potential donors and partners, ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members, and regularly reporting progress to the board of directors.

 Most importantly, you should be committed to the mission and values of this organisation and be passionate about the role you will play in helping CHDFNigeria become the leading heart charity organization providing support for CHD warriors in Nigeria.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in health-related course (Medicine, Nursing, Public health etc.) and previous experience as a project or programs manager in an NGO. Candidates with Masters degree in healthcare administration or global health without prior experience in charity administration  will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or  project management, preferably in a health rlated non-profit environment
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrable experience of managing cross-organisational projects.
  • Experience of leading programmes and of project management including planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance
  • Strong decision-making skills and confidence in making strategic and operational decisions.
  • Experience of successfully engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels across an organisation.
  • Proven ability to quickly establish credibility and manage and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly where they have differing requirements, demands and measures of success.
  • Budget management experience including forecasting and planning.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills to be able to plan and prioritise work within a large programme of activities with shifting priorities, and to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent self-management skills to work independently, using own initiative and being flexible and adaptable.
  • Understanding and experience of monitoring and reporting on the impact of projects and programmes.
  • Demonstrated expert in event planning and knowledge of fundraising.
  • Good problem solving and risk management skill.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and meet ambitious project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Passionate about social justice and making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children and families in Nigeria.
